You Have More Money Than Bank of America Pays In Federal Taxes
A friend of mine posted a link on her blog and it made me so angry to see that these corporations not only are allowed to engage in this type of business practices, but that nothing is being done to stop it either. Somebody needs to really put a stop to this type of corporate abuse. If Bank of America and all the other companies were straight-forward about paying their taxes, then maybe our government could recover from the financial mess that it's in a little sooner. I have a Bank of America account and I'm seriously considering closing it. That's how bad it is.

While banks and corporations are dodging themselves from having to pay taxes and the government not doing anything about it, we have Kate O'Beirne at a Republican Agenda for the 112th Congress session talking about how we should take away programs that assists poor kids get breakfast in school.
Apparently this is too much of a burden for government, according to her. Hey lady, how about you make a session that talks about collecting the money owed to the government by these corporations first, then go after the poor families that can't afford to put breakfast on their tables for their kids because they got laid off, even possibly from the same companies we bailed out with tax dollars? Give me a break! Watch for yourself what she says:

Let me be clarify something. I know there's people out there milking the system because they expect all kinds of hand-outs from the government. But this is not about those people. This is about those who genuinely are suffering during this economy.

There will always be people milking the system. Just like there will always be politicians spinning it for their benefit....
